April 2nd  FLUX featuring Open Microphone Poetry Slam

9:00 p.m. | $5 cover | ages 18+

Rochester Art Center  

Celebrate National     Poetry Month at Flux and share your poetic talents. Contestants will be judged by both the audience and a panel of local experts for a chance to win one of many great prizes.

April 29th Dining Out for Life

Sontes is excited to be part of the state-wide Dining Out for Life project!  On April 29th, a portion of our proceeds will be donated to The Aliveness Project, a Minnesota nonprofit organization that provides on-site meals, food shelf and other supportive services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families.

Last year's Dining Out for Life raised $127,000.  This year's goal is $130,000! Invite your friends and family to join you at Sontes to dine out and fight AIDS. More information.

March 12th & 13th Daniel Drubach

Dr. Daniel Drubach is a truly gifted Argentinean guitarist as well as a local physician.

March 19th & 20th Ted Eckhardt & Mike Nesbit

Ted Eckhardt moved to Rochester two and a half years ago, but has been playing guitar since he was nine years old. His style is a combination of acoustic Jazz/Folk music with a powerful voice to go along with his playing. Along with him is bass player Mike Nesbit whose melodic bass lines makes for a constant groove through all their songs. The two of them continue to write all the time, have recorded in the past, and play as often as they can.

March 26th & 27th Dianna Parks & Kevin Kleist

Dianna and Kevin have been performing together since October 2008.  The highlights of their eclectic sound are their tight harmonies and interplay of musical personalities - she's a little bit diva and he's a little bit rocker.  Kevin's soulful voice and Dianna's sweet timbre will have you daydreaming then dancing, and will always keep you guessing about what comes next.
